Overview of Liquid Ring Vacuum Pumps

These pumps work by the principle of positive displacement by forming a liquid seal inside the pump body around the outside perimeter of the rotor. This allows for gas to be captured through the inlet of the cone(s) within the impellers of the rotor. As the rotor spins it creates a chamber between the impellers and seal water. As the air is trapped within these chambers, a reduction in volume occurs as it reaches compression area in the casing of the body. This compression area depends on the design of the pump, whether there is either an offset in the heads or the body. These properties condone a constant reduction of gas the creates a continuous vacuum. Liquid ring pumps can also be converted to compressors using the same principles.

Liquid ring vacuum pumps serve all types of industries including pulp & paper, mining, textiles, chemical, environmental, food and beverage packaging and processing, electrical power and environmental.

We repair nearly all liquid ring vacuum/compressor pumps, small to large capacity pumps as well as multistage vacuum pumps.
